Eco-Renaissance

Statement

Date: June 6, 2012

RESOLUTION: the Green Party supports a demand for a commission on open access to historical information, to assist in any and all materials, data, records, and/or archive by any government or state and for inquiries and discovery with international tribunals starting with the WWII era.

We need change now,. . . and we need leaders who are capable of an "Eco- Renaissance"

Eco- From Ancient Greek οἶκος (oikos, "house, household"). Renaissance ( from rinascere "to be reborn")[1] was a cultural movement that, beginning with the 14th-century resurgence of learning based on classical sources, and gradual but widespread educational reform. In politics the Renaissance contributed the development of the conventions of diplomacy, and in science an increased reliance on observation that would flower later in the Scientific Revolution.
If I am elected President, we will have new rules, first, the President is not "above the law," nor will officials and agents serving the President be above the law. Second, all those Governors and governments that act the rogue will experience consequences.

Today the GREEN PARTY is small but inclusive of all parties, and it is your party to build America's future. We need for all fifty states to provide for a "write-in" campaign for "your access to the ballot," we need a President that fights for women and minorities, the system of "old white men"--who sit in our board rooms, control U.S. money (Federal Reserve) banking and finance, "man' our judicial branch, and undermine the educational foundation of our society--must be improved.

With stroke of a pen, we can enable our universities and community colleges to interlink directly with local school districts, public elementary and primary educational systems so that every child will have college preparatory pathways.
I am encouraged by Gov. Romney's campaign to guarantee that every child can receive Fed dollars for the school of her or his choice. But I will go one step further, and guarantee that any local community school that loses funds will be guaranteed Fed dollars to compensate.

There is no doubting the USA.'s top position in global economic development , in military--industrial superiority and domination, but the US is hardly "exceptional" when we are not even among the top fifteen nations educationally, when the best education is reserved for wealthy "white" citizens, while minorities and females and children of color, rarely receive such exclusive opportunities.

My friends of Baha'i faith might refer to this as the "evil of the Insistent self"--in other words, "I want what "I' want, because it surely benefits me."
Who is in control of a state like Texas? It surely isn't God, when Gov Perry forces 12 year old girls to receive Gardasil (Merck & Co.) vaccine for STD's.
We live in a world of many spiritual influences, not just the Anglican Church of the American Revolution and Thomas Jefferson's era, or the Restorationism . . .
The term "restorationism" can also include the belief that the Jewish people must be restored to the promised land in fulfillment of biblical prophecy before the Second Coming of Christ.[15]:3 Christian restorationism is generally used to describe the 19th century movement based on this belief, though the term Christian Zionism is more commonly used to describe later forms

. . and proselytizing of Texas Gov Richard Perry's world, . . .

Poteet Independent School District Superintendent Andy Castillo announced Tuesday that due to legal problems the words "Invocation" and "Benediction" will be removed from the commencement program of their Friday night graduation ceremony. The words "Opening Remarks" and "Closing Remarks" will replace "Invocation" and "Benediction".

. If the response from parents and students to the announcement of the removal of benediction and invocation is anything like the firestorm that hit Castroville last year, the Strawberry Capital of Texas is in for a rough few days. The outcry to the lawsuit in Castroville (Medina Valley ISD) was heard far beyond the county lines with Texas Governor Rick Perry, Attorney General Greg Abbott and even Newt Gingrich expressing their outrage.

-- but great Spirits of Native American, African, Hindu, and Buddhist traditions, (to name just a few) in a universe of spiritual awakening. Remember, theocracy (by any faith tradition) imposed upon others, is, in effect, terrorism.
The greatest threat America faces now, is not the "pseudo' threat posed by the Project for the New American Century or the threat that Gov Romney trumpets, whereby American imperialism must "dominate" over "foreign" powers.
Our greatest threat is internal --our own spiritual turmoil; we are not "exceptional' when US military veterans commit suicide at an alarming rate, when the predominant veteran medical treatment is for mental health, when America's children have nowhere to turn because our institutions lead the world in incarcerations rather than in providing equality of opportunity.

The U.S. must not be the "rogue' nation as Gov Sarah Palin suggests, but rather we (the people of the U.S.) can have the vision, the intellect, and the "spiritual transformation' to go the extra mile by creating a Department of Peace. With modern computers we have enormous capacity, an investment of a few hundred million dollars could initiate the world's largest global consulting model--an economic paradigm of "client value creation" for every person on the planet. The greatest threat is the fear of uncertainty. By developing a "global paradigm', a default-back-up model, we can provide planners and investors with a quick on-line comparison to current economic model theory.

And finally the world community might see a pathway to conclude the centuries old debate: capitalism v. socialism

We have nothing to fear other than fear itself. Whoever cannot remember history is destined to repeat it. If we allow ourselves to become dominated by a "world view' like--for instance, the state of Israel's plan to establish a predominate religion-- this is a cause of concern, . . .
and if an incumbent U.S. Senator (Dianne Feinstein) receives support, and then turns around and demands that the Executive Branch execute a targeted killing . . .
"I am hopeful that we will be able to, candidly, kill this bomb maker and kill some of these other associates, because there is a dangerous process in play at the present time," Senator Dianne Feinstein, chairwoman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, told "Fox News Sunday."Todd Eastham, Reuters May 14, 2012,

without "due process." . . .this is a cause of concern, . . .
Secret "Kill List' Tests Obama's Principles
By JO BECKER and SCOTT SHANE
President Obama has placed himself at the helm of a top secret process to designate terrorists for kill or capture,. . . reserving the final say on approving lethal action, . . . say current and former aides.

. . . this is a cause of concern, . . . .
and if the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)
AIPAC is a 100,000-member grassroots movement of activists committed to ensuring Israel's security and protecting American interests in the Middle East and around the world. AIPAC's priority is to ensure that both America and Israel remain strong and that they collaborate closely together..

AIPAC has been criticized as being misrepresentative of American Jews who support Israel and that AIPAC is solely in favor of right-wing Israeli policy and viewpoints.

Among the best-known critical works about AIPAC is The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy, by University of Chicago professor John Mearsheimer and Harvard University Kennedy School of Government professor Stephen Walt. In the working paper and resulting book they accuse AIPAC of being "the most powerful and best known" component of a larger pro-Israel lobby that distorts American foreign policy. They write:
AIPAC's success is due to its ability to reward legislators and congressional candidates who support its agenda, and to punish those who challenge it. … AIPAC makes sure that its friends get strong financial support from the myriad pro-Israel PACs. Those seen as hostile to Israel, on the other hand, can be sure that AIPAC will direct campaign contributions to their political opponents. … The bottom line is that AIPAC, which is a de facto agent for a foreign government, has a stranglehold on the U.S. Congress. Open debate about U.S. policy towards Israel does not occur there, even though that policy has important consequences for the entire world.

If Am Israel Public Affairs Comm has acquired and directed funding from "Wall Street" and then turned around and used it to manipulate the voters in an election, . . . .this is a cause of concern,
When others decline, when others are afraid to lead, when the going gets tough, . . . .we, in the Green Party, choose the First Amendment and defend the "pinnacle of freedom' for all people throughout the world . .
. .If not here, then where? if not now, then when? if not us, then who?
